Our monthly meeting will be held at the Microsoft Greater PA Office in Malvern, PA on Tuesday, November 20 from 5:30-8:30. We have a special format planned. There will be 10 presenters each doing a 15 minute session covering one of their favorite .NET topics. We will close with a panel discussion with all presenters. There will be no break this night, but food and drink will be available throughout the evening. Refreshments are provided courtesy of Microsoft.

Mark Magliocco, Consultant Mentoring 101

You have been asked to lead the effort for a new project. You will need more than excellent technical skills for this assignment to succeed. One of the skills you will need is to be a good mentor. It is more then telling the team to do it right. I will review some of my tips to be more effective

Philly ALT.NET Meeting 2007_11_14

The first meeting will focused on the C# open source Castle Project library, and it's MVC framework called Monorail. Monorail is an alternative to the Microsoft Web Forms model, ASP.NET and provides some distinct advantages to working with Web Forms. Monorail's growing popularity was one of the key factors in Microsoft's recent decision to develop their own MVC alternative to Web Forms, which we'll also discuss. The Castle Project also provides many other great tools that can be used separately from Monorail in all types of .NET development, whether ASP.NET, Winforms, etcThe meeting went very well and the presention was on target This was a great kick off to this new group. Very cool technology this really brings the Java and .net world in line with MVC.

Friends

Our family walked this sat for Pancreatic Cancer research. If you can help thanks.

As most of you know my daughter's mother in law died of Pancreatic Cancer earlier this year.

It turns out there is not a lot of research money spent on this deadly form of cancer.
